  • When you live in a town the size of Miami, Arizona, population 1,800, you know just about everyone. Your lives are intertwined more tightly than if you lived someplace bigger. At first, it seemed the coronavirus might skirt this small town. No cases were reported for months. Then the first Miami resident tested positive on June 13, and it spread like anywhere else, driving people out of the stores and churches, away from restaurants and festivals, and into their homes. Residents pulled together to help those who lost their jobs, those who were hungry and those who were grieving. <br />
