"We are the children of the earth, of the bright colored corn," she says, "we were placed here on the Earth to follow the corn pollen path." As scholar joseph Campbell noted, the corn pollen path is a Navajo symbol for living properly, in accordance with tradition and religious beliefs that tie people to the land.
